How do you use the app?

USB Mode

    • Connect the USB cable to your device. If you have a tablet, you can use an OTG cable. When prompted, make sure HUR is the default app and tick the Always box.
    • You might need to select the USB device connected before running the app on Android 7.0 or higher devices. This is dependent on the device.
    • You can open HUR and tap the USB button to start the app if it doesn’t automatically launch when you plug your phone in.

Wifi Mode & Wifi Direct

Self Mode (when Android Auto or HUR are running simultaneously on the same device).

    • Open Android Auto on your phone. Go to Settings and tap “Version” 10x to become a developer.
    • Once you have been designated a developer, click Start Headunit Server
    • Close Android Auto
    • HUR!
    • Select SelfMode

FAQ/How to Troubleshoot

I only get a black screen

– Look for a setting that allows you to play video during drive if your Android-powered head unit is Joying, Xtrons, or Xtrons.

– Change HUR settings to enable Software decoding
